Selling XenForo Xenforo license to sell

Have a Xenforo license for sale. Expired Jan 14, so for $40 you can reactivate for updates. Selling to someone for best offer, just no longer need it, taking down forum.

Isnt xenforo dead? I own 3 licenses that have not been updated for over 6 months. They are about to give up and close the site. This is what I have heard directly from Mike. As they have no more money to fight VB... Let me know if I am wrong as I will offer here.

 

not that I know of. I am switching from vb to XF Just contact me, if you want to sell. I am looking for several licances. See my other WTB posting.

I am not sure whether you can trasfer a XF licence, if it is already expired. I thought it has to be valid at least 3 months for updates, if you want to transfer ist and it has to be the first transfer of this licence (so no reselling of alraedy transferred/resold licences)

I'm interested. I think the xenforo is not dead, the DP forum use the xenforo itself.

 

That is just plain hogwash.

A: Xenforo just won in the case of the lawsuit against them. Nothing about xenforo is dead except the chivalry that was once shown to people who basically show up to cause a problem there. Other than that everything is going back to normal mode.

B: Xenforo is not vbulletin, it does not need an update every 2 weeks because there is NO SECURITY FIXES NEEDED. Other software titles are not adding features every couple of weeks...no one is. So Xenforo providing updates just to say they are pushing updates like everyone else is just plain stupid. I am much happier running a stable piece of software.

C: I have to call you out on talking to Mike. I think that maybe you talked to someone you believed was Mike if that conversation ever did happened. I find it seriously doubtful that while the case was going on that Mike took the time to tell you something that would potentially change the outcome of the case.


So just to reiterate, buying xenforo would probably be the smartest thing you can do if you are wondering what software to run your forum on.

 

Not entirely true. We don't know if xF won the case or not. They have signed an agreement to keep it confidential. For all we know, they might have to pay a % of sales to vB. Sure they are now back open publicly but don't mean its a 100% win.

Well in terms of someone who was at the site since it started pretty much, I can say that regardless...it is a win. Whatever agreement they have made is behind a closed door for a reason. For all you know this was a last ditch effort by vB to save some face, Who knows? Either way it doesn't matter, the company is up and running and nothing can threaten to shut them down again like before. The company remains it's own. For anyone who waited this case out from the beginning, it really is a win no matter the circumstances. I hope for the XF team's sake that they did not have to pay anything to get these people off of their back.

 

Lets look at it like this. Regardless of how you feel about XF.. It has not been updated in Months closer to a year? This is a fact.

Dont you think if they planned to do something with XF they would have been working on it since the last update? Dont you think they would have fixed the BUGs or added new features? Its been Months..

If you think they care about XF, then why didnt they release a huge update after the lawsuit ended?

They said there will be a update within a week on March 1st.. What day is it? Go away you tard.. ALso what update? Really why isnt it ready? This just proves my point. What did they do in the past 6 months? Sit around? Or maybe better yet, The second best coder left, and the main coder took on a full time job and will not have time to do much more? In the world, there is no real BEST coder, only hourly/daily/monthly/yearly working coders, testers or debuggers !!! (team work.)

No doubt; vb and xenforo are good scripts, which make us knowing about Mr. Kier.

Maybe both sides do focus on making more new plugins ,updates or new features.

Then consumer will be the final winner.
