Is blog submission in blog directories is useful or not ?

Using blog directories for blog submission is useful or count as spam ? Still working after panguin updates ?

 

It is useful but you do't have to go and submit your site to million of directories. My advice will be to use only such sites which have high Page Rank and are reputable such as technocrati among others.

 

Spam work will always count as spam, if you submit quality blog submission then sure you can get benefits.

Definitely it is useful. I think it is still working after the Google Panda updates. The updates only affects who spam optimization tricks. Otherwise it's still works and Quality Directory submission will helps you to get results like brand or product promotion.

 

Useful because link is still a link. you just have to choose which submission site you will use. most dir site is hosted on a single server which gives you single IP. dont waste your time on this kind of strategy, instead focus on social media and other natural link building strategy.

If it's free and there are some decent directories, I don't see any harm. I would also spend time COMMENTING on similar niche blogs or just the blogs you routinely read. It will also drive traffic and help with your blog exposure. Not to mention it will get you more comments, since people have read your comments (quality ones, of course) and want to know more about you. It's the way I have built my blog's reputation in the past 5 years.

 

Yah, it is quite helpful. But you better try to submit your blogs to the sites which have good PR. Then you will get better success.

 

I guess, blog/web directories submission is still useful in creating backlink. But please note that, only submit your website/blog to the SEO friendly and quality directories. Make sure that they have high TrustRank instead of PageRank. And one thing, make sure to make a self-write description which never been used elsewhere.
