What is your best advice you can give to someone starting out in marketing

Treat it as you would a career, with serious long term intent rather than just pick up a few ideas to make a quick buck. I agree with above posts go to seminars, read books, use this forum and other business and marketing forums and just have a go. Remember to at least take some action and not just try and learn everything...as you never will. Find someone recommended and stick with them-try to find the mindset required as marketing becomes a way of thinking.

And persistence pays....eventually. Put a long time frame on learning as results come to those who stick around and never give up.

Don’t believe to anybody telling you that you can earn $30k in less the 1 hour work. Usually he will make the money on your expense 

 

They very best thing you can do... is just do it. Decide what you want to do-- be it affiliate marketing or original product creation, and by GEORGE make a plan and do it!

Stay focused and do not try to master everything !
Find a traffic source and then find a offer that goes good with the traffic source.
Get a blog going on topic of what your traffic source would like and start to build a list by
giving away stuff that you think your visitors would like.

Hang in there you are going to make a lot of mistakes but you are not doing anything wrong?
