People I need your help desperately. I have a 7 month old blog which is getting very less traffic. Search engine traffic is almost zero and most of the traffic is through referrals. I am working on some very high competition keywords and need your advise on getting traffic to it. Earlier I thought of dropping the domain and start working on some low competition keywords but then this is the first blog that I started and do not to leave it. I would appreciate any advice. The keywords I am working on are make money make money online earn money earn money online.

When did you start the project, if you start recently then it will take time because of high competition keywords.
I recommend you move on to lower competition keywords. There is no point in targeting competitive keywords as your first attempt at SEO. You won't get anywhere and that will just lead to frustration. In that niche you will really have a hard time finding any low competition keywords, but at least try for something that is 3-4+ words long.

Its true that link building plays a very major role in ranking. But I would advice you to focus on fresh content and social media optimization. Your presence on social sites will help you gain trust in Search engine's eye.
If anyone want traffic with high competitive keywords then he/she have to go for SEO and try to get ranking with that keywords, once site will start ranking it will generate traffic automatic.
