    Social bookmarking is not enough to get ranking. you need to do blog commenting, Directory Submission, Article Submission, Press Release Submission etc. for get ranking.

    If you want to increase your ranking on the Top Google, follow Google webmaster guidelines, you need natural work in seo.
    first do on page seo include with meta tag optimization after that off page work, like that forum discussion, social bookmarking, article submission.

    Ranking a keyword is all about SEO and it is very important thing today.

    If you rank your keyword on your desired position then you have won the game.

    So what you have to do is to fight with competitors, try to know why your competitors are ranking higher than your site.

    Directories submission
    Article Submission
    Classifieds
    Press Release
    Blog Commenting
    Form Posting etc..

    The most important thing is to optimize your content to make it includes your keywords and better if the title can includes it.But don't write too many keywords in the content.Then you can submit your website to good social bookmarking websites like digg,stumble,reddit and others.To increase your rank, you may need to submit articles to forum and article websites.Also, you can find the backlinks of your competitor then make use of them.
