This is Why I Hate The New Year.....

As soon as the first day of the New Year starts, your earnings turn to garbage overnight. I can't even remember the last time my earnings were this low for a day...oh yes I do, the first quarter of last year.

Keep your heads up, it usually blows over in a month or two and picks up.

 

everyones wants to spend new year in real life, this is might be everyone loose traffic and earning for sometime

 

Usually lasts about 1-2 months before things start picking back up.

 

Personally I noticed an immediate drop in advertisements on some networks, so lower fill rates since 1-1. Exoclick on the other hand seems to be doing fine, which is ok if you don't mind adult content. (And they have great payment terms.) Affiliate stuff doesn't seem to be really affected either.

Since the amount of visitors for a lot of websites should be somewhat the same as before the end of December, I think it's a great opportunity for people to experiment with affiliate programs. I think it's creating opportunities for new advertisers as well, which is on the long run great for us all.

its not difinetely true
its depends on your nich,site quality, traffic quality
all of our websites are getting normal traffic, no i think its increasing

 

As mentioned above this isn't true for every niche. There are certain niches that thrive extra in the new year. Think of stuff related to new year's resolutions. Niches like weight loss and probably raking it in this time of year. So if you have this problem every year, perhaps you should expand into some of those niches. Or just accept the fluctuating nature of online income and use slow times as incentive to work harder.

my website traffic was normaly... but my ecpc to the biggest cpc networks was dropped and is stil down...
but the CTR was fine

 

Exactly. Traffic is good, clicks are good, but CPM in the toilet. Usually the case for January.

 

Major drop in revenue with some networks like Adsence, Tribalfusion.

 

Well, you have causes to be angry. But calm down if you could.

 

yeah, there is some dropdown in the epom market, but just a little. but i love New Year time anyway haha!

Some people only work Jan - Feb because of the high interest in niches like: weight loss, dating, self improvement... maybe you should look into one or more of these for next Jan?

 

You are right but it is not you all of us are feeling the same the holidays cause a big loss.

 

Indeed, earnings are still lowering, instead of rising.
