i agree ,theres no point having 10000 visitors per day if it makes you no money.I was just reading a post from a guy who uses proxies to get 70000 hits per day and that only makes him $30,big deal ,why jeopardise your adsense account for 30 lousy bucks.focus on coversion whether its adsense or anything else and you will do well
Are you getting a lot of repeat visitors? Make sure increasing the number of repeat visitors is part of your all around marketing mix. If possible, offer additional products/services to improve the profit potential (value) of each visitor/customer. Your site's traffic will grow faster and so will your company's revenues when you by increasing the number of repeat visitors. Solid and useful content naturally drives visitors back to your site. Newsletters also work well to 'remind' customers of your latest offerings. Monthly specials. Or anything to keep them coming back.

Does these numbers include your own visitation to the site? Sometimes I reach over 200 visitors/day, but it often includes my own visitation like 10 or more times during that day. I wonder if hurts my google adsense revenues.
Visiting your own site has absolutely nothing to do with your adsense revenues....although you will have a lower CTR.
It depends on how you input your time and skill. My main site Fantasy PC is 4 months old, PR0, 432,000 Alexa rank, 9,500 hits daily, 150 uniques daily. Its PR0 as I targetted traffic in the beginning. I have started on SEO and SERPS and Link Building for it. Right now it has 1600 pages indexed in Google and 5000+ backlinks. Although it does have a predicted PR5. Main thing is you need good content for traffic that is. I have so many things on my site that its worth visiting. News, games, marketplace, all talk forum, polls, videos, lottery, etc. on my site. So its worthwile.
I will be happy with 1000 quality visitors rather then 10000 visitors that are adsense blind or don't make a purchase. Your goal should be to make visitors do what you want, not to get the highest traffic.
I'd say that if your site offers something unique (or even something for free that others charge for), it will slowly grow without doing anything (still try to build it the normal ways, though). I had a site where I gave away everything for free and it offered a lot more than sites that charged for the same thing. Without doing much, I slowly went from a few visitors a day to several thousand. And that was without fancy SEO, writing articles, or any of the usual methods. Brian
small update on the progress...after 2 months with latest PR update website is now PR5 Alexa ranking improved, now 490.000 daily visits: 450-600 We allowed download of resume and europass CV for free. Soon we will give resume hosting for free, as well. Hope this will help to get more backlinks and become more popular.
I would be happy to have on all of my sites 1000+ uniques daily. If you have 10k daily I think you can monetize with popups and get some good cash
These stats are not bad and like another poster said it's conversions that really count. If your site is full of outstanding content then 150-200 visitors should result in lots of new business. My site gets 40-60 new visitors and 10-20 returning visitors a day. From all this activity I get one new subscriber (conversion) per day which is my goal because a subscriber pays me month after month as long as I provide them best in class service and value which I strive to do 24/7.
for this kind of site you should definitely try some offline advertisement. Such as what monster.com did with radio and television ads. You can only go so far online since a lot of people tend to trust the companies that have more acclaim (such as monster.com), so if you have a competing site it will be hard unless you can add some mainstream awareness to your site.
Well said. This is true. Offline advertising may boost the traffic level of a site and later on, mouth to mouth advertising may start automatically. Most of the time, ppl love to visit site which is popular. Another good example is paypal and ebay. They are forwarding traffic between themseft.
Put a pic of Osama naked and receive 50% of the world viewing you. You will be up on the news/live TV and more.
I know someone else has mentioned this already..but my question is..what do you need 10K for? Just because it sounds like a good number? You don't need 10K visitors a day to make money online... In any case, your answer is get the mass media for the easiet way...but..it still puzzles me why you're looking for 10K.. N/m...realised this was an old thread..who bumped it up?
