Is new content the number 1 and most important method for SEO

Hi,

Recently I have crashed with google animal updates and I believe most of you faced lots of issues and saw how their websites went down,later came back again and then fell back down...

Some say Content is the most important tool for SEO after all these google dances.I share this opinion.

What do you about it?

 

Unique content + quality backlinks are the most important.

 

Yes backlinks are important but how to get good and quality backlinks without paying?I think there is no way.

 

Content is no doubt essential for improving your reputation in front of Google. Quality back links are also important to maintain your link profile. After Google's Penguin update people are improving their link profiles by removing back links on low quality sites. This is the only way to save a website from these animal updates by Google.

 

Last year i saw that every update from Google is related to the content and links to improve the quality. So from the beginning of Google content is always king for ranking and user behavior.

Still Google like the quality and informative content. So follow this you will never penalized.

I skipped this..it is not at all required to pay a single penny for quality back links. Do guest Postings, it is free of cost just a great piece of content is required and you win. Do, social media and improve your social sharing, this too will not cost anything. Again, write some great content and submit to high authority article submission sites like Ezine and Ehow..

 

I do write guest posts and also social bookmarking all the time,but I feel like it is irreplaceable to have permanent links in pr4 or higher websites.

 

The key is also to make sure your diversify. You want to make sure you not only have articles, but maybe write an ebook and add that ebook into ebook directories. Why not start a podcast and then put that podcast on different sites. I think the thing to do is do stuff that is not easy because then everyone will not be doing what you are doing.

 

Make sure you don't have too many anchor text backlinks with your main keyword. 20% tops. If you have more then build more backlinks using other keywords to reduce the % of your main keyword anchor text links. Having a diverse link pattern is the key.....presently.
To me this is at least as important as having unique content.

 

It is true that in spite of writing great content, google dances and fluctuates the results. Don't worry about it. keep optimizing in a positive direction.

As you know that content should be unique, duplicate content should not be allowed according to google guidelines. I will also support that content should be attractive. It play an important roll to gettting ranking and traffice.
