Newly Purchased Domain Previously Indexed By Google And In DMOZ

I have purchased a few deleted domains that are actively listed in DMOZ. I put Wordpress installations on them, added sitemaps, added them to Google Webmaster tools, etc. One of the domains has a few hundred URLs crawled by Google from a previous owner that appeared the day after I made the site live. The site also became a PR1 site the day after it became live as well. It's obvious the URLs are a little spammy and not related to the original DMOZ listing.

My question is should I even bother and "take advantage" of those previous URLs and 301 redirect them to my homepage and if so any suggestions as to what method (Wordpress plugin, .htaccess)? Or would you just leave them alone and let them die a natural death?

    Thanks in advance.

Redirect, definitely. I would do it through .htaccess, benefit from them while you can!

Definitely take advantage of them if they aren't too spammy. Before you do so, signup for Google Webmaster Tools. If those sites are really spammy, you'll get a message that there was an issue with links to your site (even if you didn't get the links yourself). If you don't have that message, then you are probably okay.

You can install Link Juice Keeper plugin in Wordpress to redirect those links to your home page (after doing your best to make sure the links are okay).
