Hello, Is it worth to do LAMP course ( ZEND certification) or self-learning is enough?? Please suggest your idea. Thanks in advance
Maybe, if you plan to build large scale PHP projects or work with a team building PHP applications and web sites. Just my opinion
If you want a job, some companies still fall for certification. If you're doing it for yourself, it depends oin whether you can learn on your own or not.
In my point of view.Self Learning will not be give you that much satisfaction. You need to do LAMP Course. LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) platform is a successful alternative to commercial software for building and operating dynamic and high performance web systems. PHP has become one of the major players on the web development market in the last few years.
its good to do some course. you will be able to learn the basics faster and get some guidance to initiate . but later when you actually work you would need to do self learning.
The advantage of doing a course is you can receive a certificate that you can show to an employer. Knowing the material is what matters to an employer, whether you self teach or do a course doesn't really matter in that sense. However you need some way of proving your value why will they hire you, be it previous experience in jobs or courses. There are free courses with certification for example Alison has a PHP/MySql introduction course. I haven't done this course so I can't vouch for it. It costs about $19.38 for the certificate PDF download once you complete the course. However the courses are not accredited. They support re-testing checks to make sure you haven't forgotton the material. I don't much like this, since I tend to forget material, I can relearn on the job as necessary.
