If you have a site which contain 5 to 10 url then no need to fo such task as this is necessary in case of portal because in that case without sitemap you can not find out that which url is index or not one by one. So i will suggest if you need to increase your indexing then you need to prepare xml sitemap and submit it all the webmaster tool for google yahoo and search engine.
