Let's say my wordpress blog affiliate marketing site is 'www.marketing.com'. My posts are say 'www.marketing.com/abc' and 'www.marketing.com/def' . I have perhaps 10 of these post sites that are all populated on my homepage 'www.marketing.com'. How am I meant to be optimising the site 'www.marketing.com' with 10 posts that all have their own different keywords? Am I meant to have all 10 posts optimised to the one keyword for 'www.marketing.com'?

If the ten posts are on one single site, they would surely be correlated with each other and could not possible be some things entirely different from each other. SO their keywords would be related as well. Optimize your site homepage for a set of different keywords and optimize your post pages for their respective keywords.

Content between different sites can be related, but of course never identical. And if possible the content on one page should compliment that of the site being linked to.

Relevent content, interlink all 10 pages with your site, quality articles 300+ words, off-page SEO.

Thanks for all the advice. I did a PR check on my site and it's PR 0. The site has been indexed and has been there for over 3 months now. What could be a possible reason that the site is PR 0 after being on the internet for 3 months and even has backlinks from relevant article directories?

If you are using Google Webmaster Tool then you can see there that Google collect all the data for your blog and record all the popular keywords under "Content Keywords". That is how google collect on page factors based on the keywords.

However normally adding a H1 and Meta Description is sufficient to rank the page on google. Make sure to add relevant posts only. For example you can add "weight loss" related articles in a technology related blog.

Having backlinks from article directories is not very good anymore now. Create backlinks from good and relevant sites which are reputable in your marketplace. SEO benefits from backlinks do not come overnight. They show up very late, maybe 6 months or even a year or a two. 3 months time is nothing for a site have PR more than zero. I would be amazed if it had. Work hard and you will see your site climb up the Page Rank ladder.

OnPage SEO is the process of optimizing the content of your website. This includes the text, images and links on your website. Anything uploaded to your site's domain is considered onpage.
