Blogs are usually shorter in length, about 100 to 400 words, whereas articles are from 400 to 1500 words.
Blogs are written by admin only, while articles can be written or edited by users or viewers.
Infact blogs may contain different articles in it.

Blog posts should be short and sweet in order to engage your readers and have them return for more. An article should be a minimum of 500 words. There is no rule in stone however rule of thumb is blog posts should be under 400 words and articles should be a minimum of 500 words. However articles for print are a little different. If it is for a magazine some magazines would like articles to be under 400 words and some may request over 500. It all depends what the article is for and who it is for.

I always create an article and blog post to go with it. So basiclly a brief summary of the article and then link the blog post to the article. This way you are engaging your web visitors to roam around your site.

In Blog only admin can write while in article everyone can write.

The blog is generally on tips, tricks or useful information about a particular topic. Articles have more explanatory content, analytical reports or some hot topics.

Blogs are often useful to represent your thoughts or your company services while articles are aimed at the whole community.

Blogs are like a book in which you can post your ideas step by step while in the article you can post without any rule.

Blogs are more likely to be read by others than articles because they represent your own beliefs and thoughts.

As an experienced blogger, the most simple way to differentiate and article and blog post is just depends on the style it is written. Blog post is more similar to conversation it's just like the blogger is explaining to you on he desired topic. But articles are more into facts... And it's constructed in much proper manner compared to a blog post!

Blog is website writing. An article is simply a non-fiction writing piece. A blog is only found on the web while an article may be found in newspapers, magazines or on the web.

Just remember, what creates people to even read the blog post. If you start thinking in that direction, you wont have to worry about word counts.

A blog is like an online diary it can be either personal or professional. Blogs are generally in between 100 and 500 words.
Articles are generally approximately between 400 to 1500 words, article submission includes title, summary, content, author-bio, keyword and tag.
