Strange google index behavior

Discussion in 'Google' started by theunreal, Dec 18, 2012.

    Hello.
Google indexed about 150+ of my website pages in a short time, then he stopped indexing additional pages.
Look at the graph I took from google webmaster:
    SAD.png

The new pages since google stopped indexing has same quality compared to the other pages and they need to be indexed.
Why google took a break indexing my site pages?

I'd go through the crawl errors and html improvements listed in Google Webmaster Tools. Also check your W3C validation. Sometime websites have technical problems that prevent them from being properly indexed. Also be aware that Google Webmaster Tools data doesn't always update right away. Sometimes things get refreshed days later.

Yeah I check html imporvements, I have same with "same title" and some pages with "same descripition", but its actually the same page, just another order (&order=view,&order=name, etc) and I don't know how to fix it, if needed.

There is a section in Google Webmaster Tools to tell them to ignore certain parameters like that. It's not likely to be your problem unless it is a large amount of pages. Instead I'd look into your code and possible validation errors. Also ensure that most of your pages can be accessed with minimal clicks from your homepage.

Are you sure you have original content on those new web pages? The Content is even said to be duplicate / Plagiarized even if it is found on one of your pages own pages too! This might be one of the reasons. I hope this information would be helpful for you.

Just wait a bit and Google will index them soon. Creating a fresh sitemap and submitting it into your Google Webmaster Tools may speed up the process.

The thing is that Google does things that none of us can understand.

Patience is really the key and just keep adding relevant and quality content and you should be fine.

My content is indexed within minutes, and I didn't get such problems related to indexing, what you need to do is to use only fresh content it works.

Maybe not just you, I also experienced it, but I do not think google indexed pause, only indexed when it was fast or slow, and depends on the quality of the website itself.

The action of google bots is unpredictable, they may index thousands of pages in a day and nothing in the following days. So you case is nothing strange, just relax and your urls will be indexed during the following days.
