at the end of november lead.co sold for $25,000. do you think .co domains will increase in value over time or be next to worthless like most of the new extensions about to come out?

Yes because I personal believe that .co domain going to be second choice of domain extension after .com . .Net domain name do not have that high value and demand compare to .co.
.COM domain now facing real limited with keywords , i believe .co will going pretty popular in next generation ....

It may be valuable for domains with suffix .co, e.g. lo.co, disc.co, taba.co,
most of those words are of spanish or italian origin.

This extension could compete with .net and .org but will never come close to .com.
.coms are already in people minds as most credible ones and people when starting a new company are looking for .com instead of any other domain extension.

Some .co domains will be sold brining in a record number but I don't think it is worth buy hundreds of them an hope to sell them some day.

Yes, I think so anyway. Soon all good .com's will be used and .co sounds so similar that it would be a very viable option to switch to.
