i want to ask about paypal

if your paypal account is - balance, what paypal can do, if your credit card also expired?

for example :

John has paypal account, but his balance is - 230 usd
paypal must take this money from his credit card at his paypal account, but his card expired..
then?

 

Is it possible to have -$230 in paypal?I doubt it.

for example john sold something, but buyer canceled his order
but john made his paypal money to cash at this moment
so there is no money at his paypal account

as soon as funds get into your account paypal is going take what you owe

 

As far as I know you cannot have a negative balance.

Funds are taken whether from your credit card or paypal funds but when none of them exist, firstly you are warned that your credit card has expired and invited to renew it or add a new one.

If you fail to do so, the card disappears from your paypal account, not sure if you are back to unverified though, but for sure you cannot send money if there are no sources in there so, how can you have a negative balance?

 

you can have negative balance. they take anyting in your account, and after 30 or 60 days, they file lawsuit on you to collect money

 

I am not certain if you can withdraw to a credit card but if your balance is negative and it is because you have already withdraw to a bank account, they can get the money back from your bank account linked to the paypal account. Failing which, they will get collectors knocking at your doors to reclaim the money and failing which they will suspend your account.

suppose "A" has $0 in his account. Now he recieved $500 from "B"
"A" sends $450 to "C"
Now "B" files a claim that he dint got the item.
He escalates it to a claim..
PayPal temporary holds the payment..
So the balance - $450
Now if PayPal returns the money to the buyer...
What would be the "A"s PayPal balance -$450
Thougn PP tries to recover the funds but still"A" has -ve balance!


So here's a person in paypal got negative balance...(because this was once with me too!)...LOL

 

With an expired card there isn't much they can do in the short-term, but I'm sure they'd have creditors after you in no time.

 

You get to either change your card expiry or add a new card, they have a very good system which allows notify members if their card is getting expired.
Not sure about the negative balance paypal might sue you and take that money back.
