Bounce rate is one factor that Google uses to determine the visitor value of your site. The longer people hang out on your site reading, the more valuable your site is to the search engines and therefore you should be rewarded with better rankings. It is very important factor when we promote our websites online, Bounce rate should always be low to get top rank on google

Bounce Rate is the percentage of visited users who view only one page of your website and then leave it. its not depend on how much time user spent on a single page.

Bounce rate (sometimes confused with exit rate) is an Internet marketing term used in web traffic analysis. It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and "bounce" (leave the site) rather than continue viewing other pages within the same site.

Bounce rate is the percentage of people who arrived on a page and eventually left. Bounces are always one page visits.

It signifies the percentage of users who enter the website and "bounce" (leave the site) rather than continue viewing.

    Tips to Reduce Bounce Rate:
    Make it relevant content,
    Improve the load times,
    Keep it simple coding,
    Try to Avoid:
    iframe,
    Heavy file size Image,
Think as a visitor point of view.

Bounce is how long the users stay on your web pages. If you have a good number of visitors but getting a higher bounce rate value, then the issue seems to be with your non user friendly web design.
Btwn, what is your bounce rate showing in analytics ?

Bounce rate is the ratio between the visitors who stayed at your website and visited other pages of your website too, to the visitors who left your website from the same page they entered.

    Hope this help!

Well Google doesn't explicitly define it and explain the mechanics of its calculation, but the spirit of it is to calculate the amount of hits made by people who actually wanted to come to the site and filter out the excess fat.
