Facebook advertising is good but my recomendation would be Ezine advertising Ezines are newsletters sent out over email, the people who subscribe to these things are interested in the topic so if you are advertising something similar they are more likely to look at the add Alot of internet guru's have used this to make their first 1000 leads (stuart Ross and the six figure mentors hope this helps ps in the link bellow there is some internet market trainning that would help
I think you can try with Facebook ads, are more cheaper than Adwords and you can target the traffic very well, you have many statistics there.
I go on yahoo answers. You have to invest the time answering questions properly otherwise you get reported. But eventually you will get the odd sale. It might be different for your business, with mine if i make 1 sale its worth quite a large amount. You would probably sell more items but lower value...its worth putting in 20 minutes a day though for a week or 2 to see how it goes maybe? It wont make you rich but it gives you more customers potentially. Also have you thought about teaming up with nightclubs? Getting some flyers put up in student halls maybe? Maybe set up a commission deal with some students, they get dressed up all the bloody time round here...not that im complaining, i quite like seeing superman and cat woman protecting my neighbourhood You could also register on sites like netmums.
Google ad costs more expensive than facebook or linkedIn ad however it provides the best value for your money.
