Create your Facebook page and "like" similar pages to your niche. Post comments and contribute to those pages and other fans will "like" your page as a result and view your site from there. At the moment the majority of my traffic comes from my facebook page

Promoting your facebook fan page on facebook itself might be a good solution, i have actually set one campaign with lower budget to get started with but it is yet to be approved. What i am concerned about is that CPC estimate is of 0.50$ to 1.20$+ per click and it will only land the clicker to the fan page, what are the chances that the user will like the page and be the fan? Let me check this stats once the campaign ends and i will share it. I am sure with higher budget user will get better results.

I do get fans to my facebook page by inviting them manually or I would advertise at facebook with facebook ads.

Attractive posts should be done. If you can catch the liking of the mass people, they will become your fan.
I have just gone through a week of non stop trying to get likes on my new Facebook page. I did two things that worked well. 1. I signed up for www.addsocials.com and that slowly brought me about 5-10 likes a day. 2. I commented on tons of posts from other Facebook pages in the same niche. This brought me about 150 likes of TARGETED traffic in a week. The latter of the two is the best way to go. I also have a Facebook like button on my home page which gets a few likes as well.
