    According to me, Google Adword is one of the best keyword research tool which is Google's main marketing tool and product of revenue. There are many people prefer it for researching keyword, so I think you should go with it.

    On the assumption that it's included with your hosting package (usually is) look at the Awstats page/report. That's all I use. Shows me what key words/phrases people are using to find the site from the search engines then it's a case of going after those key words/phrases are they are proven to attract traffic. Not saying it's any better or any worse that other tactics/tools - just a personal favorite of mine.
