    Actually, its main purpose is to make money for Adobe. Its secondary purpose is to make amateurs think that they're professionals - professionals don't use DW, we laugh at people who do. (It's money better spent on a couple of programming courses.) Its tertiary purpose is to produce terrible, bloated code that's not actually compatible with any of the major browsers.
