I've just checked my adsense account and I have received two clicks (an all time high!), yet, the 2 clicks generated zero earnings. Why is this? I thought it may have been due to 'PSA' ads, but then checked and no PSA's are displaying on my site.
The could be displaying elsewhere, as adsense ads are geotargeted. Use alternateurl or similar to always display ads..
zero earning is due to google thinks they are not valid clicks as you told the clicks may not be public service ads. mostly invalid clicks are when google thinks publishers who click on their own ads. you may also add psa alternate ads to increase your revenue.
I haven't clicked on them so they shouldn't be invalid? How do alternate url's work? They have me a bit confused.
As we all know, not everything is perfect, not even google. This happens sometimes. If it happens all the time, drop them an email and ask.. whats up?
Hello, there could be many reasons why you're receiving zero earnings for two clicks. Sometimes Google doesn't track all your clicks, you can even have 3,000 impressions with zero earnings if you don't know how to make use of your ads. I recommend waiting for a few more clicks and impressions to see if your results change, do the math for your Impressions/CTR/eCPM/Earnings and see if you get valid results. If not, then it could be because your clicks were labeled invalid clicks.
I've got simillar expericene.. 144 page impression - 1 click and 0.00 earning!! But with DP channel - no clicks then also some earning
If any click but 0 eraning just 3 reason 1. Invalid click 2. Fraud Clik 3. they click PSA Got earned from your impression in DP channel .
in adsense interface(publisher's area) you may replace psa with other contextual ad networks i.e. you may try trustyhound, adjungle, bidvertiser or any url (inluding your affiliate url) which may be use for adsense alternate
on referall items it will give you clicks but zero earnings unlsess someone registers.. I was confused at first too ..
Thanks for the tips people. I'm hardly pulling big numbers so 2 clicks was quite exciting! Then I was quickly disappointed
