Copywriting - should it be done in-house or through an agency?

    Hi all,

I'm just wondering what your thoughts are on this.

For any marketing collateral, web page or campaign material (including press releases) is it better to produce copy in-house or should you use an agency?

I can certainly come up with the key themes for key messages based on research, however my copywriting skills aren't great and i'm worried about putting bad content out into the market.

Any tips on what i can and cannot get away with would be great.

    Many thanks in advance.

I would test both ! You never know what is going to work best until you test it!
If you stick to the main principles of writing copy then you should be alright to test to see which converts
    the best !

Before anyone can accurately answer your question they would need to know your education, training and work related experience. Without this it's all speculative at best.

Even with all that information it is purely speculative. :)

You need to test both in-house and agency copy. I've done this and my copy converted far better. You won't know unless you test.

It just depends on if you have the skill set. You can get quality copywriting outsourced. Good luck!
