The simple answer to that question is no. You can't go over to an article that is already on another site, copy and paste it to your blog and then increase your page rank. However, what you can do is curate the content. In other words you can quote a few lines from it and then throw in your own twist on it. Comment about what you agreed and disagreed with, point out good ideas, ect. I use content curation all the time on my weight loss blog when I don't feel like being creative and writing a full article.
