10 000 visits a day or 10 000 visits a week? or total of 10 000 visits? Provide us with the URL of your site, then we can give you quite better suggestions on what possibly can be done to reach these numbers.
Can I ask you why you need 10,000 people? Why not 9,999? . Just want to know if there is a business plan or goal in mind here or if that figure is arbitrary.

There are plenty of methods you can use: Article marketing, blog posts, email marketing, blog commenting, forum posting, guest posting, etc. Don't limit yourself to one approach, and keep working. Also, don't forget that content is king. If you consistently provide quality content on your site, then you will get quality traffic and conversions. Also, I would advise you to not set a quantitative number goal; but rather, a qualitative one. I would rather have 100 "targeted" visitors per week, than 10,000 random visitors per week. Make sense? I would choose 3 methods that are doing well for you and turn yourself into an expert on them, live and breath those methods until you are an authority in them.... scale up and move on to the next learning curve... Plus be patient, patience will be will your best friend in a situation like this "why?" you ask... because patience will give you what you need to actually work on one thing hard enough to master it, If 10,000 is a goal you want to achieve then master a couple of free methods ad with the revenue you generate scale up with paid advertising... You can buy traffic. But that traffic should be adsense safe (High Bounce rate may ban the adsense account).
I found the suggestions in this thread very informative. Since I am having trouble with traffic I will try to implement the suggestions here. Youtube is the 3rd most visited sites after Google and FB Besides this I found that Youtube videos can get a lot of traffic if properly keyword optimized. i am going to try to do YT videos and also the following list of video Directories [TABLE="width: 825"] [TR] [TD]

Create content or funny videos on Youtube, post on forums with a catchy signature file link to your site, join Facebook, yahoo, google groups and post a link to your blog if you have relevant content for them. There are a ton of other free traffic generation methods you could find on here.

maybe you can use some viral metode, but it's not free I think.... because it's need money to making a huge refferals/affiliates for this system.
