My way for getting valuable Twitter followers

Hey guys,

So I know there's many ways to get a large number of Twitter followers, and generally a larger number of followers equates to higher traffic - but this is not the case with Twitter. First of all, the follow then unfollow technique brings average results. Most of the people who follow back immediately after being followed are not going to be a great audience, can you imagine someone with 1000+ Twitter followers scrolling through their feed until they see your link?

Paying for Twitter followers normally doesn't end up well as the followers are usually fake and unresponsive.

I'd much rather have a smaller number of followers that are genuinely interested in what I have to say rather than a large number who don't take the time to read my blog posts and the likes. This is a fairly simple process and I'm sure many of you already do it, but this thread is aimed at the people who are unaware.

My Method:

1. Use the search/discover function in Twitter to find tweets related to keywords that are related to A. Your website. Or B. Your Twitter account (your twitter account should really be related to your website).
2. Reply to tweets that are closely related to what you're looking for, don't reply with links, It's very rare that people will click a link from the first reply - this doesn't help you gain followers. If you can, reply with an open question - this will promote an extended conversation which normally leads to them following you.
3. If you're interested in what they have to say - follow them, if not, then don't.
4. Rinse and repeat

There's various modifications that I've made to this, and use sometimes. I gave you 3 simple steps, I encourage creativity and therefore am leaving you to come up with your own ideas.

Extra tips:

• If the tweet is not ideal for reply, or you're lazy - favorite the tweet.
• Search for the same general word with a different suffix, i.e - Productive > Productivity > Productiveness
• Retweet if applicable

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I'm quite the twitter noob. I feel like I'm always running in circles with what to do, how to get followers, how to connect to followers. I try & try, but nobody ever talks to me!! I'll try a few more keywords tonight.

Yeah I was like that as well, the sooner you stop seeing it as an outlet for your business or website promotion, and instead see it as a community involving conversation - the better. I also make sure to tweet my new followers thanking them for the follow. It's just something I do out of common courtesy, to show them that I'm not a heartless robot!

You can get lists of all who are on twitter at twellow, just choose a categorie and it tells how many followers they have and lots of other info.

 

Any tips to find people of a specific location on Twitter. I want followers only from USA and UK. What are your tips for find the USA and UK users on Twitter and want some tips to increase followers from these countries only.

 

Can't think of anyway atm,but will keep my eyes open and let you know if I do find a way.

 

I think you'd need a third-party plugin in order to make this happen, unfortunately I can't help you there!
