How BIG must a mailinglist be to make money of it?

Dear all,

I generated more than 6000 double opt in subscribers in less than 2 weeks, and still getting 250+ new subscribers a day. These are all Windows 8 users.

How much subscribers do i need before i can make real money of my list and what is the best way to make money of it? Affiliate products, Blog etc..

When I build my lists, i dont start looking to make anything until i reach at least 1k subs. you have more than that so you should be fine. Although for some of my lists, I look to get paid after only 500 subs. The best way to make money from your list is to give them what they want... (in a nutshell)

 

Can you share how you did that to get so many opt ins? thanks. Sure you can make money with this amount of list but you need to provide good content and build good rapport with your subscribers. Well done.

 

It's not about how big it is it's about how well you develop a relationship with ur list

My list contains WIndows 8 users.
I send out a mailing with new Windows 8 Tablets in a affiliatelink and had a 14% CTR in one day but no sales.

Are there other ways to make a profit of it and how?

I agree with that. Build a reputation and make yourself an expert in what you are trying to sell to them. Don't let them down.

Do some branding for your site to generate sales. Introduce your product online to targeted customers, go with social media sources.

 

But i don't have a product, all i can say that they are all Windows 8 users recently from around the world.

 

Windows 8 users... Means they may be looking for tips on using windows 8. Create a webinar explaining getting started with windows 8. next create a short video course that explains more advanced Stuff. Sell it for between $1 and $10. At the end, present them with your product and you'll make some money.

Its more about targeting right. A list with 100 properly targeted people is better than 100k spam.

It's all about having the right people on your list. If you just have 6000 random people on your list, you obviously will get no results. But, if you have a well-targeted list who are interested in what you have to say, and you build a good relationship, you will make more money.

 

To make money, It's not that easy through email marketing. You need to plan on this. Firstly, send out an email to collect the users interests because its very important to consider the subscribers interest otherwise they may opt-out from the mailing lists.
