    Google it. Google will give nice answer both of you. However, if your web site is new, you have to wait few days. At first build quality content. Then you can think about traffic. There are more ways to get traffic for your web site. But some are depend on your niche.

First If you have a blog the try to remember your previous post and try that when you write any thing new then not forget to link previous article. It will help to increase page views. Secondly you can try to do some off-page tactics such as Blog commenting, article submission on a quality website, discussion boards and bookmarking on high page rank. All these tactics will help you on both the thing. fistly you will get high number of visitors and also can help your website to get good keywords rankings.

    You can't force visitors to come to your website. You need to create something worth visiting. If your site is full of low quality content, nobody will give it the time of day.

    Create high quality, unique content relevant to your niche and once google crawls it, people will come. The better quality your content is, the more chance people will find it on google, share it with their friends, link to it, etc. If you do it properly, it all happens naturally, without having to buy links, PPC, ads, etc.

    Getting visitors to your web site? How about visitors that are hungry qualified buyers.

    If you just want visitors give something away and run adwords with free for visit. That might not make you any money. It could build a list, but a list of what?

    You could run a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal.

    Otherwise, review internet marketing basics and do them
