    Page rank is usually updated in every 3 months and the value depend on the number of quality in bound backlink that your website has. So if you want to increase your page rank you have to increase quality inbound backlink. And that can be done through directory submission, social bookmarking and other different ways.

    Pagerank is only a function of back-links from high-PR sites but it is not a useful metric. The most important metric is SERP (Search Engine Results Page). A low-PR site can be high in a particular search phrase if they have back-links from authority sites and from relevant sites in your niche. If you focus on SERP you can rise in PR by and by. One of my PR3 site gets less traffic than my PR0 site simply because later has more relevant links and relevant content.

    ~Follow SEO checklist to add those get (+) and eliminate things bring (-), just search through google "SEO checklist".
    ~Have many but natural backlinks. Just search through google for "natural backlinks".
    ~Ensure updating robot(dot)txt as soon as you update your contents, design, etc.

    this is the most tiring and slow process of increasing page rank . because writing blog posts for back-links requires great efforts and time . you never know , your post might not be accepted by the publishing blog many a times . but still you should write guest posts once in a while to add some variety in your strategy .

    hi first thing you have analyze your website like check "meta tags" keywords competition Google indexing sitemap.xml robots.txt according to Google Etc, after that you can high pr submission like Article's, Guest posting, blog posting, Blog comments related your business.....
