    Bounce rate represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and leave the site rather than continue viewing other pages within the same site.

    Bounce Rate Formula:

    BR=TV/TE

    Where as
    BR= Bounce Rate
    TV= Total number of visitor viewing one page
    TE= Total entries to page

    Bounce rate is also one of those important metrics which tells us how many percentage of the users were satisfied with the website and its content.

    If you are tracking referential sources,if your bounce rate is continuously reported as 100% then your site will get blocked

    As someone pointed out, your bounce rate will vary a lot depending on the type of site you operate. If you run a blog or a website where people can access a lot of content without clicking from one page to the next, you're bounce rate is likely to be high (but that's expected). However, if you operate an ecommerce site where you'd expect people to browse around and ultimately convert, having a high bounce rate should be a matter of concern!

    If 100 people visited your site and 50 people leave your site without viewing another page , Then your bounce rate is 50% .
