Had a friend come to me with a favor. He/she needs a blogspot blog moved off page one because it's negative pr for the company and obviously hate-spam. The blogspot blog has no links but ranking for the top 10 of a pretty low competition keyword (name of business) So do I opt to go with 10 web properties that outrank it? Obviously I'd make a blogspot blog that is better than this one to outrank it, but I'd like to help this guy out. I already contacted blogspot just to see if by chance they would remove, but I doubt they will. Any ideas?
Why don't you just contact the person that made the blog? You can attack this problem two ways. You can have the blog delisted/push back by sending it massive backlinks. (Short term but faster) Or like you make another site, that will have more authority over it. (Long term but slower)
The first thing I tried was contacting the person who wrote the blog. First of all, there is no email or name to even contact and secondly he's obviously crazy Obviously Negative SEO would be easier, but not really sure about doing that. I would sure hate for him to move up in the serps instead of down as a result of a scrapebox blast or something similar, that would be unacceptable.
