Install P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) plugin. Start test.

This plugin creates a profile of your WordPress site's plugins' performance by measuring their impact on your site's load time. Often times, WordPress sites load slowly because of poorly configured plugins or because there are so many of them. By using the P3 plugin, you can narrow down anything causing slowness on your site.

Disable the plugins which are using high resources and your problem will get solved.

I would recommend either moving into a VPS or dedicated, depends on how much traffic you get and resources you need to use.

Good hosting provider with hight server speed would also increase page load time, it's also helpful to consider using compression techniques on server side.

I can't say anything good or bad about your current hosting provider, but I should say that a high price doesn't mean high hosting quality.

Before ordering a hosting plan from a different company,I advise to find at least 4-5 companies and make a choice between them.

When choosing a web hosting users ALWAYS look at a series of factors. Both beginner and advanced user look at the same parameters - hosting stability, user reviews, prices, tech support efficiency and comfort. The trick is that these categories of users see things differently when they choose.

Rookies mostly value a hosting's price efficiency. Opinions expressed in user reviews and the alleged quality of the host's tech support are equally important to them. Finally, stability and comfort are not really that much of a matter to them.
With the pros the picture changes significantly. They appreciate stability and good tech support, first and foremost. Prices are important, but they come only behind the first two aspects. Then they pay attention to some user reviews, though not any reviews from any user: only word of mouth from other pros. Finally, comfortable usage should be also taken into consideration.

You can see the list of the best hosting providers and their features on the picture given below:

HI i Recommend you to go for a high speed VPS or a cloud hosting they are the only solution to your site if you find it still slow with hostgator. Find some good provides of vps or a cloud.

Also you can check your sites plugins any one of that might be slowing the loading speed.

Thirdly you can use a CDN for your site.

    Best of luck Buddy...

Considering to buy a VPS plan is always effective and gives you full control, root access, soft installation possibility and more. You can find vps plans starting from €12.99 /mo.
    Cheers.

Some big hosting companies offering unlimited plans may having the overload and speed issues with their server, however correctly selected company based on your location might provide good hosting solutions.

You DO NOT necessarily need a CDN or CloudFlare as it's the server-side that's being processed slowly.

Look at all the plugins you have installed and deactivate them all, reactivating them one by one until you find the one that bogs everything down.

Also, Hostgator isn't the fastest host. There are plenty of other REPUTABLE ones such as EZPZ Hosting, StableHost, and SpeedySparrow. Try going with a host that uses Apache + Nginx + Varnish + Cloudlinux (or one of the combos -- don't do plain Nginx). These hosts tend to take more care of their servers in terms of performance.

Also once again, a CDN won't help you here. Unless it's the JS, Images, or Video loading slowly (assuming video is self-hosted), you don't need a CDN as it doesn't look like that's your problem.

Hello, switching hosts will have a effect on how fast the page loads but sometimes it's just your download speed and not the web hosting it's self. Switching to a new web host should speed thing up though.
