I know that keyword density was important for SEO. But NOW I don't think keyword density isn't very important for SEO(for Google). What do you think about that? Still, Is keyword density is important for SEO? If it is really important what is the best keyword density percentage?
In my long experience keyword density is a very important factor and it's more important to ensure that your target keywords appear in key places.
My experience keyword density is a very important factor. However, it's more important to ensure that your target keywords appear in key places, such as: Page title H1 H2 H3 Main body text Internal and external pointing to your page Image alt tags etc Also don't forget that content is for users as well as search engines so forcing keywords into the content to increase density could devalue it.
In my experience and from what I've heard from experienced IM'ers, maintaining a 1-2% keyword density is still very important in terms of ranking. Going over that percentage may start to bring trouble in Google's eyes.
Keyword density is very important. Repetition of any keyword more can harm your site, so keyword density is near around 2-3% in site content.
