I want to find out what are the best domain name registrars. In this thread I would like to discuss the experience of working with different domain registrars - what are the cons and pros. Also I'm interested in authoritative websites with real user reviews on registrars. I think it will be useful info for all.

    Check here: http://www.irdb.com/domain-registrars/
I usually use goodaddy. But the latest domain registration was via Name.com. It offers very affordable prices for domains and easy interface.

I always use godaddy as well. I have tried Name. and somehow I lost the domain, they said I never really bought it, but I had the CC receipt to show. So I will never use them again.

Namesilo and internet.bs are two of the cheapest around, and both offer free privacy. coupon code BUCKOFF to save $1 at NameSilo.

Name.com, Dynadot, and Namecheap are rock solid but cost a little more than the above 2 options.

Godaddy is alright, I only use them for $1.99 and $2.95 coupons though.

unfortunately considering how tough the market currently is, the cheapest is the best for most people nowadays, all other concerns/reviews are pushed aside.
i can recommend godaddy for the cheapness and dns reliability, but there are some negatives I have to cope with

Godaddy is the best registrar, there is no doubt about it, as it is too popular and too secure as well.

I would recommend Namecheap. Haven't had any issues with them for a long time.
    Godaddy is not so cool.
