Hi guys first off sorry if this is in the wrong section I couldn't make my mind up over Reviews : SEO and Google

My question is regarding doing SEO work for a website. I have taken a job through PPH to do some SEO work for a guys blog, this is the first time I have worked for someone elses site doing SEO, I have my own site which I did the SEO work so I understand the basics.

The Man in question has a site build on almost completely copied content, I have used Copyscape to check and it is clear he has just copy and pasted the content, and pictures for other sites. I was wandering how much more difficult this SEO task will be if I am trying to rank a site with no unique content, I understand it can be done but it will never rank as high as uniquely built content. Should I alter all of his posts (over 100 of them) and try to rewrite them as unique articles or should I just optimize each page with keywords and descriptions?

The site is built on wordpress and has All in one SEO so optimizing the pages will not be too hard.

What do people suggest is the best path to take, completely rewrite the articles and build keywords, or just do keyword building?

I will be link building and directory submissions as well as optimizing the images as well

    Thanks in advance, Luke.

I think it's done using black hat technique because website doesn't have Alexa rank. As it's pr 2, it should have alexa rank which is not.
