Tips to stop my account from being banned

So I kept hearing Horror stories aboy people being banned from adsence and then the other day I found out one of my best friends has been banned for know apparent reason :S. I was wondering if anyone had any specific peices of advice they could offer to stop this from happening to me. Are there mistakes people make without realising it or are adsence as unpredictable as they seem? Is building your whole model around adsence viable or is it wise to diversify?

It's simple, don't break the adsense rules, you agree to them when you sign up to adsense, so you should of read through them before registering an account.

Make sure to publish google ads on sites with a lot of unique content. Don't bother to start a blog with one or two articles. You need at least 10 or more. No matter what niche your site's in.

And what advice is this exactly with regards to not getting a ban???? Read the guys question!
    end of rant.
Commonly many people get banned for non compliance with TOS and Googles Site Quality guidelines. They don't ban people for no reason at all, regardless of how many people say that!
Did you friends site have an about us page, a contact page, or the mandatory adsense privacy policy page, were his ads near images etc etc.
Most bans are for non compliance not click fraud

In case you are not aware of it, search engines look at domains IP’s, registry dates and many others. Having multiple domains having the same exact content is not something you can hide from them. The same goes with content multiplied many times on separate pages, sub domains and forwarding multiple domains to the same content.

There are many reasons of Adsense account ban:

    click fraud
referring visitors to your site (as Adsense wants only visitors from search engines)
your site should have contact-us, privacy-policy pages and it should have fresh content

It is always good to diversify, that way if something goes wrong you still have other things to fall back on. But if you enjoy adsense and you really want to just focus on that one thing, then you MUST read through the guidelines. Know them like the back of your hand because any little mistake can get you banned :( And I definitely agree with Jason1985: if you do stick with adsense then DO NOT EVER click on your own ads.

Creating many, very small website may not get your account banned, but it can affect your sites in other negative ways. I think Adsense becomes a part of the ranking algorithm when it is put on a site, but the site's ranking will only be negatively affected it it's connected to a network of poor, contentless sites with ads on them.

That's just a theory based on what happened to two of my friends' websites a couple of years ago.

Just like everyone says, as long as you follow the google adsense policies, you won't have any problems. Break them and they'll come down on you like a tonne of bricks.

By the way, the Adsense team is not out there to "kill" its publishers. On the contrary, you will find they are out there to help you as it's to their benefit that they have more webmasters in Adsense. More publishers=more options and numbers they can offer to advertisers.

Read carefully the rules and regulations for google adds before you add them and try not to break anyone of them.
