How often does Google update its Page Rank?

Hi

I run a fairly new voucher code site that has been getting some reasonable traffic. I have been working on building links etc and I was wondering how often Google updates its Page Rank, the site is probably 2-3 weeks old.

it used to be every three months but lately it's been very inconsistent.

Like mentioned above, it used to be quarterly but they just do it whenever they feel like it these days. There was just one a few weeks ago so it will most likely be a while.

a quick tip: get over PR. It is not important and if you go focusing on PR you will most likely not succeed at the things that really make you money, like traffic.
PR is just a distraction. and having PR is not going to bring you more traffic. Just focus on building relevant back links using the anchor text that are keywords you are already ranking for. Just don't go building a bunch of links with the same titles. PR will come naturally in time, as/if deserved.

 

Yes as bbrian017said it has became very inconsistent, some says it's every six months others ever 3 months. if your site is 2-3 weeks old, it's too early to check on that, i even think that Google haven't yet finished indexing your pages

 

never in the 6 years I been doing this have I heard anybody say 6 months...

 

Hi thanks for the info, I think It still has a few pages to go before it finishes spidering the site.

 

I think the most important Google events are the Panda and Penguin updates. These are the major ones that impact search engine rankings these days, not PageRank

your domain is not old. you have to do more seo work on your site.

 

They update their pagerank every 3-4 months

 

Usually it needs few months like 3 or 4 months

Page rank is updated in approximately 3 months. It could be earlier or late as to the liking of Google guys.

 

the rankings change after three months as far as i know, but it's totally up to the Google team to decide when they do what. So decisions can change.
