Can you undo 301 redirect?

    Hi, guys i put a 301 reidrect from my old site to the new but want to cancel it, if i do cancel it will my old domain come back to the same position that i had before? should i point the new domain back to the old one?

    you just need to remove 301 redirect . it's done

    for sure you can. just delete the 301 redirection from htaccess file

    I just want to know why do you want to remove your redirection ?
    With out having clarity over situation you made redirection, ?
    What ever the scenario, you may or may not get old position in terms of visits coz, some of your visitors may visited ur site, after redirect & may loose their view about ur site( if it is not good)!
    Any way just remove code in ht access file, All The Best

    As already said simply delete the redirect from htaccess.
    In any case it will take some time (maybe weeks or even months) before your old site recovers some positions...

    just go to your server and remove the 301 redirect and your old domain will come back ........................
