The traditional link Building like bulk directory submission, bulk article submission and low quality link exchanging are not being useful these days as google is considering these techniques as spamming and taking very strict actions against them. Low quality content and worthless links have been manipulating and terminating the actual purpose of an user by showing them some irrelevant websites at the time of searching but those sites who have quality content and relevant information, are still making their way to success because for natural reasons the quality sites are aiming at the efficiency but other who wants quick success and business are being treated as hard as they can imagine.

I agree 100%. You are only wasting your time if all you ever do is spam various sites. People should realize dong this is wasted time and effort, on your part as link builder and on the moderator's part. Agree, agree and agree. Many people saw the Google updates coming a mile off and the ones that didn't got their businesses hurt badly. Spamming is definately a thing of the past because Social never really existed when Google first thought of the idea of links for votes on websites. With social media all around us, this is the way forward. Create quality content that visitors will read and most likely share and you will get natural links all day long

It's all about nature of the website. A news and updates related website may be updated on hourly or daily basis. And some websites may be updated on weekly or monthly basis like corporate websites.
But website should have informative and updated content to rank well in search engines for long term period.
