I want to know about the techniques to promote a site locally. I know about Local Listings and links on niche sites except them how can promote a site local.

 

The thing that always worked for me since the beginning of my SEO career is always have unique content on your website (constantly updated), and consistently build backlinks from a wide variety of diverse sites and don't forget about social media sites as well.

I've even recommended some of my clients to build new websites and start over when they got hit badly. And some actually got better rankings than their old sites fairly quickly.
They can reuse the content or drive traffic back to their main websites.

Of course some sites are just too precious to start over.

 

Submit to every local directory you can find. Google maps, bing maps, and every other maps you can find. Yelp, craigslist, local review sites. Hit THEM ALL and you will be at the top!

Don't forget on-page SEO!

Quality guest posting on low alexa sites is very very good SEO and will be very expensive. I currently do not offer such a service.

 

I would build backlinks from indian sites: like forums, blogs, local directories, etc.

Using an indian domain extension would help as well.

 

What is an email extracting website?

If it's webmaster related, continue to post on webmaster forums, blogs, etc. You'll get traffic from forums and build links at the same time.

May I ask what constantly updated content is. You update your site once a week or twice a month, or what? May I also ask what do you think about the link building of a site, if I target 5 keyword for only one domain how many links should I create daily? I know that there is not exact number for this, but still. And also articles, link directory submissions, profile links, social bookmarks, press releases, cross-linking techniques, edu+gov comments, social media marketing, on-site changes, blogs ... other social platforms and ... is there anything else that you can include??? Depending on how competitive your keyword is, you should target 1-3 keywords for your homepage, and make more pages targeting other related keywords.
I would build about 100 backlinks a day across all of your pages.

You've pretty much included a lot of websites to get links from already.

If you are a local business, aim for getting links from google maps, bing maps, local review sites like yelp, local classifieds, pretty much everything local.
