Having G+ image is right or not

    Dear Friends,

    Since we share our blog posts and update our G+ wall Google approved profile picture and started displaying the G+ profile image in the SERP. While this is happening, none of my competitors are using this option.

    I'm not sure whether they are not aware of this or they don't want to use it.

    Any idea about this? Is there any drawback in using this?

    Yes, its very good to have Google authorship.

    If you have any blog you should add Google authorship it will help you in increasing search engine CTR and also it looks more legitimate.
