When is the right time to start focusing on SEO?

I know this question is a common one but I've a different spin on it.

I'm starting a blog and with recent google updates, i'm afraid to throw in a blog with just a few posts. I fear if I start 'highlighting' it to search engines, it won't get the authority it might get after I've 50+ posts and some social activity.

Please help if you've ventured something similar after recent Google updates.

Yeah you need to dive in as soon as possible. Start building up the followers. Ensure you create good quality posts once a week or every 2 weeks at least and ensure your follows know when your new post is coming.

 

The sooner the better I agree. Let me give you one example. During my keyword search, I often like to explore the competition for the particular niches - you know page ranks, content, website look and etc., I have personally encountered literally hundreds of sites, that were reaaaaly bad looking, with not a lot of content, and had extremely high page rank - like 5-6. Only one thing in common - they were put up baaaack in 1995-2005....I wish I could go back in time...I would've built hundreds of sites, and would've purchased thousands of domain names, to sell them today - probably would've make a fortune but it's just a wishful thinking.

 

You need to start immediately. Because there is no specific period. You have to find followers. This is the main point of your SEO work.

 

Start your work today and by the time you have 50 posts and decent activities, you will get much higher rank and authority. Google knows that a blog grows step by step and not as a whole.
