windows 8 is totally worthless, if you have not touch screen pc, though even you have one, it is not worth upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8, as you'll get new GUI, but slower performance with creative programs.

Sorry to tell this, but you are wrong, :p

I'm working a lot with programs like photoshop, illustrator, video editing software and other high resource programs,
I noticed better performance and faster loading on windows 8 than with windows 7.

Even the operating system loads much more faster. Also, windows 8 pro eats less memory than my windows 7 ultimate.

Did you personally try windows 8?

It's good for entertainment type use but I've tried using it as a work machine and it's not very functional for that. Very fast though.

Hmm, I think I'll hold out for a bit until I can talk to some family members and see what they think! It seems nice, but Windows 7 does the trick just fine for me.

i went on testing Windows 8 on the new MicroSoft's tablet called surface just yesterday, well what to say ... it's not realy what i was expecting ... actualy what shocked me is that microsoft is intending to sell ads placement on your PAID version of windows 8. the system is very nice, but quiet buggy too.

It is buggy like every MS OS in the start. It needs months to develop drivers and software for Win8 and that's why i stick to my Win7.

    I'm using Windows 8 Pro. It's faster.
I love the thing fastest shut down of Windows 8.
At first I felt little odd. But more the time I'm using it, feeling better.
Worth money and time for the upgrade. Any how it's $39.99 for the upgrade.

Windows 8 is not easy to use thats why many people are trying to downgrade to windows 7 or vista.

Windows 8 does take time to get accustom to but once you know your work around the whole ModernUI and no start button environment,it's really amazing
Been using it since the day it came out and never thought of going back to windows 7 again
