You could start by getting a large base of fans on your Facebook fan-page for the site. Then use that fan page to make posts that drive traffic to your site.
You could also buy Facebook ads to drive traffic directly to your site.

To promote your site on facebook you have to remember the following points:

1. You have to make a professional profile.

2. You have to daily update it by good content and latest news.So, that more & more users get good content out of it.

3. Try to increase your network by joining different groups and communities and start engaging its members.

4. You have to maintain a conversational tone with your visitors and friends.

5. Update small and attractive post instead of long.

6. Use images and tag people on them.


By keeping the above points in mind you will definitely have bulk traffic to your site.

 

Creating a facebook page and engaging the fans in your page by posting more and more images in the post makes the fan engagement to the next level. Posts with images tend to get more likes and shares. If you include give-away and gifts, they will be there for a longer time period.

6-If you got some money you can make a facebook Ad .. That will get you the max out of facebook !
7-tell your Twitter / pinterest / myspace /linkedIn followers about your Page and Put a social Network Like Box on your Website

You can engage in conversations with people, join groups, post interesting content that makes your page sticky and attractive to your page. It takes time to see the result you are after. You need to do this everyday. You can apply the 50/50 rule. Spend 50 per cent of your time posting content in your page, and the other 50 per cent, you can spend it in other people's walls posting good content or just by being helpful.
