Email marketing works the same as other marketing techniques. It's all about getting your product/service to potential customers. I would suggest finding targeted email lists so that you can tailor your message to specific groups of customers. There is no sense in sending emails to people that probably won't use your product. Create your own lists from current customers or people you meet. In this way you can keep customers up-to-date with the latest products and services you offer. This is a great way to get repeat customers.
Well I personally use email marketing and it's a underrated traffic technique to say the least. It's multiple ways to go about it you can add a signature to your personal email that tells about your product and has a link or you can email your list a email or update in on the update/email have a opt in form. The opt in form is not for the people already subscribed to your list if your newsletter is consistently good it's a huge change people will forward your email to others and they may want a weekly copy but to get the weekly copy they would have to sign up to your list.
