    Hi,

I have a library of about 2000+ cartoon vector images I have created. Generally of animals, mascots, objects... that sorta stuff. Now I'd like to know how would be best for me to market these?

I have a couple of ideas, let me know what you think..

    1) Set-up a website and sell them myself.... Spend hours SEOing the site.
    2) Same as above apart from give them away for free, with the view that it will go viral and rank high itself without having to do too much SEO work, then eventually earn $$$ through advertising.
    3) Upload the vector images to tons of stock sites such as vectorstock, 123ref etc and hope to make little bits through that.

What would you do with a library of 2000+ stock images?

    Thanks in advance

I'd recommend fiverr. Just recently I needed some icons and so I went to fiverr for that. If the images/clipart you're offering are 100% yours it will be even easier to make a sale (people are not willing to buy images that do not belong to the seller). And yes, you should probably have a basic website to show your work/images.

Okay thanks, but with fiverr.... can't I only sell an image once? rather than re-sell it over and over?

You can sell the same gig as many times as you want. For instance, you can create a gig where you will sell 100 icons. When someone buys the gig, you send them a link to a download page. They are your icons, you can sell them to as many people as you want. I actually sold some downloads myself on ebay (my own music). Ebay can be your second option too.

You're welcome. By the way you can also offer separate gigs there such as creating mascots and / or cartoon characters. Just another idea. Wait a bit longer, you may get other ideas from the fellow forumers.

I think dreamstime is a good place to sell cartoon stock images/ clipart. On the site, your product is in a site with spessific audiences searching for creative cartoon stock images and clipart. Though you probably don't make much per sale as you sell it in fiverr, you can earn repetitive orders for a same item.

I would test some of your photos using Pinterest and see what type of feedback you get from there. You can actually optimize your images for search engines on Pinterest also..
