Paypal verification...

Gahh...it's really annoying really. I'm 14, so I don't have a credit card. Is there any chance of applying for a credit card? Because my father said he will get me one, but it says you HAVE to be 18 years or older.

Is there any way of linking it to your parents account?

And is there any way of increasing your sending limit on paypal? Because I have about 80$ just sitting there and I can't spend it online without getting verified.

    Thanks.

I did the same, make a bank account, USA one, add the bank account to the paypal then buy a gift card and use it as well. your account will work

How about doing what your father says. I am sure he gave you no for a reason.

And instead of asking for a cc. Explain to him what you are you doing and require his help.

My daughter did this at 16. I told her no to the CC til she was 18 but we discussed what her plans were. So I helped out. Since than she has a web hosting company as well as a few domains.

I feel you really need to lay out your business plan with your father first. He maybe more understanding in your plan in your business ventures.

I also have noticed one can buy gift cards to domain registars. I believe I saw this at godaddy. If anything show him that and you would able to buy domains with the gift card.

Yeah, that seems right. So I should just explain to him of why I need his info. right?

No dont get his info without his permission. Make up a business plan and show him your intentions of what you would like to do.

If anything did you tell him about the $80 and how you got it?

Yeah, I've told him how I've made that money. It was just making banners and such. And the GoDaddy is used for buying domains, am I right?

Ok forget about the domains. But in the meantime how did he feel about you earning the $80. Did he think you were full of it or what? Or is he untrusting about the paypal and what not. Tell him that he can make himself the main person on your paypal account. That you get one card and he gets the other. That he can have some control of your spending on the paypal acct.

you could try just talking to your parents about it, they might let you add their account as long as you don't take any money out of it....

Yeah, he just doesn't like to put his CC info everywhere is all. He approves me doing it. But it's just he doesn't like his cc everywhere.

Because the domain registrar and hosting company already has it. He feels to not give out his info everywhere.

Fsmedia is right. You could also suggest to your father to take a percentage out of what you earn and put it in a savings account for you. So when you are 18 you still have money left.

So, what I could basically do is ask my dad to open a separate bank account for me, linking it to his of course. And transfer my earnings to there?

Ok that maybe a start. Think it out before you tell him. Divese a plan, a business plan. Tell him also you can put some of it in a savings plan or what not. That you can pay him back the $80 if he sets up an account for you.

Did you actually show him the amount in your paypal account. You may want to tell him you would like to continue working via internet and this is where you can earn some nice pocket money. Especially for things you like to buy or Chritmas presents, college fund, savings account etc. Divese a business plan that you father might agree upon. Show him that you have put much thought into this.

He may not go for it. But show that you are willing to be responsible with the money and credit and or bank account.

Well, I know he trusts me, he already told me all the information to pretty much everything. But I'm not the type of kid that would use it without permission. So yeah, I guess I will ask him to check out everything and all my earnings.

I'll just have to see if he approves.

And yes, I did show him my paypal account with my earnings.
