    Hi, I am a marketer and not a webmaster (aspiring to learn more web) - I create basic php landing pages in Dreamweaver using a template built by someone else but don't know exactly what I am doing. I really want to learn html and there are so many courses out there. Does anyone have a suggestion about what type or which one (free or paid) is best for a novice? Thank you.

    As from question, I guess you are completely unknown from HTML. So FOL you should learn HTML. For learning HTML, login in to W3school.com. This website contains all the technique about web like CSS, PHP, ASP.NET, MySQL, SQL Server and many more. After learning these technique, Then you can approach any web course like Microsoft web developer, W3c certification, PHP certificate and many other.

    I guess you are new learner for website.
    I suggest that you have learn Basic html using w3 school or other any site.
    than you learn css,javascript,php or asp.net.
