Hi all, what do you think - what is the best strategy nowadays for a new site to get high rankings in Google and how long can it take? I don't mean hitting first page on "mp3" query but good long-tails positions. Cheers!!
Google helps new site to rank well. You will notice that when you start seo work on your newbie it will rank well on google. Google helps newbie site to make its reputation in online world.
When we follow the Google algorithm updates at right as soon as we get good result. Just you people do organic seo methods or white hat seo methods don't use the black hat seo is my suggestion.
It depend upon the domain age. If you use high PR submission list then definitely there will be improvement in one year.
But what time frame are we talking about? My one month old site (with about 30 quite rich posts) got like 4 visitors from Google during that time - only white hat methods. But not many...
Google still put alot of weight towards on-page (on-site) SEO more so than backlinks, keywords, or exact match domains. That's why you see alot of websites not ranking for their keywords and they have the same domain name as the keyword. It's all about variety and mixing things up. That will make your website rank higher within the search engines.
Many avenues to go down whenever youre building a site in Terms of Google webmaster tools are concerned - moreover Google Places and Google ranking require many different angels of approach .....
I'm also trying to build a few new websites and I've been trying to get as many and as best backlinks as I can (commenting, forums, social bookmarking, directory and SE submission, etc). I also think that to find the right keywords (high number of searches and a low usage by your competition) is both fundamental and a real science by itself!!
Just keep making links which are safe. Try to make links using blogs with fresh contents and unique and do so social medias to you site to increase the visibility rate of your site.
Follow this strategies - Guest blogging - Discuss on relevant forum - Join Social Media like facebook, linkedin, twitter, apsense etc. - connect most relevant and active user at social media. - keep in mind Google previous updates 2 links is better than 10 irrelevant links
Quality content - that's always the formula. Don't be just another copy cat - google will penalize you. Or even if you intent to copy and paste articles or content from somewhere else, spent the time and efforts to rewrite the whole content so it looks as if it was written by you. Also if you don't post regularly - say you do just once in 2 weeks...that's definitely's going to hurt your rankings.
Depend on your niche, niche like weight loss or making money online, you are dreaming to rank for these keywords
