Now I analyzed that after getting approval from directories I got my keywords down and whenever I stop submission I analyzed that I got my ranking up. this condition I guessed only during the submission to directories. Do it's time to quit directory submission.
Good Que! What ever the technique you may follow to build links to you site just make it as natural as possible ! I want to know some things from your situation, _ exactly what are the keywords your are targeting ( Exact , Broad, Phrase keywords * Search Volume ) _ How many submission you did till now & what is the Quality of those sites. _ How many competitors you have til starting your campaign & Now! _ what is your analysis factors in Off page. _ What are the other activities you had along with Directories Coming to directories !!! First of all check ur list of directories - They have Good Page Rank - Good Amount of visitors ( Alexa) - Is it spammer or not. Check your practices with Directories - Anchor text diversification - Keywords - Description ( relevant or ir relevant) - Submitted page rank also. How ever Link building is not dead ! the importance of the directories is gone less that's it,! As every one practicing same thing simply listing & submitting in directories as a machine by machine's some time. So just don't batter about directories ! Just try to make to build Quality rather than Quantity !
As per my view directories submissions are dead, so you might be careful while submitting any directories.
Everyone is saying that directories submissions doesn't carries any value now.. this is a false statement. Recently Andre Weyher, an Ex-Googler an ex-Googler, who used to work with Matt Cutts in the Search Quality team has given a statement that "quality, good moderated, niche related directories are still worthy". So before submitting you have to see certain criterias: 1. Is it indexed by Google? 2. What is the Traffic of that Website (Alexa) 3. What is the Page Rank? 4. How many backlinks does that directories has? 5. Submit only to niche category 6. See if there is any meta robots tag before submitting into the category 7. How far it is SEO friendly to submit? If you consider all the above factors, there is no harm in submitting to directories. Let me know if you need anymore info on this... Thanks,
Yes directory submission is still helpful but check its pr, traffic and spamming before submitting your site.
Hi No work is painful for your website which is doing by you to promote a website. Only a single case if you are making spamming then may be you have to suffer by some penalty.
Everything is better on SEoptimization. Site directory is the one of the many factors that can improve your site ranking.
Oh, no. I am confused. 5 v.s. 5. I thinks submit to high PR and Alexa directories is helpful. And harmful or not depend on the way you submit it and the quantity you submit at a time.
Also, if you submit fresh description to every submission then it would be more helpful than submitting one description to several directories.
Hi, Submitting to directories are helpful in two ways one is getting back links and the other one is it will be helpful to target keywords for new domain registrations.
Directories still carries very important values if it is done on high quality sites. It increases page ranking and keyword ranking of your site.
As an SEO expert, I can no longer suggest anyone to use web directories if the intention is to build links for your website. Web directories are now considered as "spam sites" and although there are web directories that can provide great value, search engines see them as spam-links-generating-sites in general.
Yes, of course. When we do directory submission in high pr sites we get quality backlinks which helps in keyword ranking.
